Thank You for Your Support!
First and foremost, thank you—from all of us at The Beacon House. Your donation truly makes a difference. We simply couldn’t fulfill our mission of transforming lives without the generosity of supporters like you. Your kindness helps our men build brighter, purpose-driven futures—and for that, you are heroes in our eyes.
To ensure your donation makes the greatest impact, we kindly ask that all items be clean, in good condition, and suitable for resale. Items that do not meet these standards must be responsibly discarded, which adds unnecessary costs and diverts resources from our core mission.
Please note: These are general donation guidelines, and we may not be able to accept every drop-off. Pick-up acceptance is at the discretion of our drivers, based on item condition and resale viability.
Thank you again for helping us change lives—one donation at a time.
The Beacon House Thrift Shop does not have the capacity to repair or restore items, and disposing of unsellable donations diverts critical funds from our mission of transforming lives through recovery, education, and employment.
A helpful rule of thumb: If you’d feel good giving it to a friend, it’s probably good to give to us.
Please make sure to include pictures of your bulky items when scheduling a pick-up (a bulky item is any item that requires two people to lift it). Also, while we do accept sofas/couches, these and other upholstered items require an approval process (see Furniture section below). Once again, thank you!
*All appliances must be in good working condition
NOTE: All furniture items require an approval process. Please begin by emailing us a description and photo(s).
Accepting unsellable items creates additional costs for the Beacon House Thrift Shop and limits our ability to fund life-changing programs in recovery, workforce training, and employment. To help us maximize impact, we kindly ask that all donated items be clean, in good condition, and fully functional, as we are unable to repair or refurbish them.
