Matt has been sober since May 20, 2022, has been with The Beacon House for over a year, growing into a dynamic and multifaceted role within the thrift store operations. His responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, overseeing product pricing and merchandising, supporting resident training, and helping expand both donation outreach and our e-commerce presence. He also plays a key role in warehouse operations, donation pickups, and resident programs like financial literacy and reintegration groups.

Though he came in with little retail experience, Matt learned everything on the job through hands-on volunteer service as a resident. Over time, he’s developed valuable skills in store management, inventory control, and leadership. What he enjoys most about his role is that no two days are alike—each day brings something new and exciting through the doors.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys traveling, golfing, and exploring historic areas of Los Angeles.
